A popular float and wellness centre taking over the country is preparing to open at a new location in the Hills, marking the local woman at the helm’s fourth site.

City Cave Float and Wellness Centres, a science-led health facility which offers everything from cave float therapy to personalised infra-red saunas and massages, have been popping up across Australia in recent years, with dozens of locations in the Sydney region alone.

Now, a brand new location is set to open in Dural – marking Hills woman and franchisee Jaime Strong’s fourth site in as many years.

Ms Strong invested in the company after her husband, Tim, was diagnosed with adrenal fatigue following years of burnout and stress in his construction job.

Float therapy – one of the services which makes City Cave so popular – was suggested as a remedy for its ability to regulate the central nervous system.

The couple tried it together after they realised Mr Strong could not take time off work for a health retreat.

“I remember after our first float, I turned to Tim and said ‘that was amazing, we need to do this as a business, we need to bring this to our community, make it closer to home’, because we travelled 50 minutes for it ourselves,” Ms Strong said.

She then opened her first location at Bella Vista in February 2020, followed by a second at Rouse Hill in May 2021 and a third in Minchinbury in November 2021.

Dural will be Ms Strong’s fourth location, with an undisclosed fifth site in the works to open in late 2024.

Ms Strong said her purpose was to make float therapy and City Cave’s other services accessible to all local communities.

“It’s all about serving our community, helping people relax, de-stress and escape from their specific mental or physical circumstances through the therapies we offer,” she said.

“By following this formula, and looking at what the market was asking for, we just continued to grow and grow.”
