Right-wing extremist Wade John Homewood urged his thousands of online followers to execute former Prime Minister Scott Morrison and slit Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews’ throat as part of his disdain for foreigners and the government.

More shocking details of the East Tamworth man’s hatred for non-Anglos and the government were revealed at Parramatta District Court on Friday when he was sentenced to more than two years in prison for advocating terrorism.

He posted thousands of online posts, photos and videos promoting terrorist acts – including a disturbing clip on one platform of a white man executing a black man by shooting him in the back of the head while he lay on the grass.

Judge Andrew Colefax said there was nothing to suggest the video was a simulation.

Shortly before his arrest in November 2021, Homewood posted two comments about then Prime Minister Scott Morrison celebrating the Jewish festival of Hanukkah.

“Anyone who can’t see this f****t is a jew has no clue at all. I look forward to seeing this c*** executed for treason,’’ he wrote.

Victorian premier Daniel Andrews was targeted under the headline “Australia – I just wonder where the blood of the dead go”.

“Someone needs to take Daniel Andrews out,’’ he wrote. “Slitting kike Andrews throat would be truly pleasing.’’

The 38-year-old glorified the Christchurch massacrist Brenton Tarrant as a saint and incited the murder of people of African, African American and Indian descent, and people of Jewish and Islamic faith.

He posted: “Saint Tarrant should be sent letters and gifts of support for his patriotic selflessness’’ and “we need a Brenton Tarrant for every mosque in this world’’.

Another post read: “If Europe doesn’t remove the jews and moslems (sic) it will no longer exist in very near future. This is a wake up call to all European men … do you want your women and children raped by such f***ing filth? Arm yourselves and prepare for war.’’

Another racist post referred to Indians as curry c***s.” “When are you gonna kill every f***ing curry c***, c***?’’

He implored his followers – including one website that had 1500 subscribers – to make Australia great again.

“I.e. make it white again. F***ing niggers are cancer everywhere they go. This country is f***ing finished unless White men wake up and stand up.’’

Homewood’s vile tirades came to a halt on November 23, 2021 when the Australian Federal Police’s Joint Counter Terrorism Taskforce swooped on the rural property he shared with his parents, who the court heard were oblivious to his online crimes.

Cops seized eight firearms – five bolt action shotguns, two break action shotguns and a .22 calibre pump action rifle – in the storage cupboard in an internal stairwell of the house. As a licensed firearms holder the guns were legal.

But he was charged after police found 8312 rounds of assorted calibre ammunition in his bedroom that were not stored properly.

His bedroom also contained a copy of Hitler’s book Mein Kampf, a four-part manual with recipes and instructions on how to make improvised explosive devices and propellants.

He was charged with advocating terrorist act or commission of terrorism offence, which carries a maximum of five years in jail. He was also charged with not having approved storage for his firearms.

A charge of urging violence against groups threatens order/good government was withdrawn.

He entered guilty pleas for both and was given a discount when being sentenced.

During sentencing, the court heard how Homewood said foreigners bullied him at school and that planted the seed for his hatred against not-whites.

“You were of the view that there was in many respects a breakdown in society and had a sense of betrayal by citizens and the government,’’ Judge Colefax said.

He also suffered a head injury after an unprovoked attack in 2002, a car accident and another assault perpetrated by foreigners.

The court heard how he had a distant relationship with his father and had a difficult childhood.

The court heard how he told a psychologist assessing him he topped his primary school academically but had not been awarded dux for “political reasons”.

He started an unfinished degree in construction management four years after high school and took on jobs delivering pizzas, as a furniture removalist and in hospital administration but had been unemployed for several years.

He has suffered depression and taken cannabis and experimented with other drugs including opium and ecstasy.

He suffered long term insomnia, chronic fatigue syndrome and hypertension.

When Covid began, the socially isolated man’s online obsessions grew deeper and he turned to the online community to cultivate his violent fantasies and cope with loneliness.

Homewood appeared via video link during sentencing and buried his head in his hands through much of the judge’s remarks.

Judge Colefax found the offender to have no remorse and his prospects of rehabilitation to be poor.

He will spend two years and seven months in jail backdated to the time of his arrest. He is eligible for parole on October 22 this year.
