Little Big Dairy’s Jim Elliott dies after tragic farm accident at Rawsonville
A loving husband, father of two and popular businessman who died after a tragic farm accident near Dubbo has been remembered as a ‘true gentleman’.

A beloved father, husband, dairy farmer and mate to many has been remembered as an “amazing man” after he succumbed to injuries sustained in a tragic farm accident.
James Elliott, better known as Jim, was a driving force behind the incredible success of the family-run Little Big Dairy Co at Dubbo.
A loving husband to Emma and father to young sons Xavier and Wilfred, Mr Elliott was flown to John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle on December 5 after emergency services were called to the dairy on Rawsonville Rd, following reports of a serious accident.
The 30-year-old died two days later.
His death has led to an outpouring of sympathy and support for Mrs Elliott and the business on social media.
In a message to customers, suppliers and friends Mrs Elliott thanked her many supporters for their understanding and prayers.
“We are heartbroken but we are a strong family and will support each other through this,” she said.
“The Little Big Dairy will go on, just as Jim would want.”
In comments posted to social media, Mr Elliott was remembered by many as an “true gentleman”.
Meg Strong said the Elliotts were “the perfect couple”.
“We will always remember James as a genuine, loving, family orientated and humorous guy,” Becka Jane wrote.
Kai Woltmann said: “What a great guy he was; friendly, helpful, just a great person”.
Businesses from across NSW who had forged strong relationships with Mr Elliott and Little Big Dairy also posted tributes.
“All of the crew at Little Big Dairy are absolute legends, no doubt taking a lot of direction and leadership from Jim who steered an incredible ship alongside his wife Emma,” Newcastle-based business Josie Coffee posted to Instagram.
“We would often talk with Jim about how we could work together to grow our businesses, he shared very similar visions of his industry like ours with the coffee industry.
“Rest easy Jim, we will share a cold beer in days ahead.”
A memorial service for Mr Elliott will be held on Monday at 11am in Dubbo’s Holy Trinity Anglican Church.
