A man who was allegedly caught committing a vile sexual act while watching two young children on a walking track in the state’s central-west has fronted court.
Jamie Roberts, 53, was arrested on Monday following reports to police he was engaging in a sexual act while watching the children near Wiradjuri Walking track, on Johnson St, Wagga Wagga, about 3.15pm, weeks earlier.
Riverina Police commenced an investigation into the allegations, leading to Roberts’ arrest at Wagga Wagga Police Station.
He was charged with intentionally carrying out sexual act with child under 10 years.
Roberts appeared in Wagga Wagga Local Court the same day as his arrest, where he was formally refused bail by Magistrate Gareth Christofi.
He is yet to enter pleas.
Roberts’ case was adjourned to the same court on May 21.
