They’re highly motivated and quickly becoming the real estate agents to look out for in Dubbo’s housing market.

These young guns are the ones to look out for as their ambition brings an energising asset to the industry.

The Dubbo News has put together a list of some of the best young guns in the industry to showcase the impact they’re making across Dubbo’s market.

After joining the SJ Shooter team in 2021, MJ has worked his way up from receptionist to a sales associate.

MJ was inspired to join the industry after seeing his family friends prosper.

Working at SJ Shooter for 11 months, MJ has mastered various tasks and is learning to become a more developed member of the team.

“I am young, but that doesn’t affect what clients think of me because they know I’m passionate and dedicated to my work,” he said.

He’s known around the office as the “stylish” one and will share his tips on how to get quality photos on Instagram.

After completing a degree and entering the workforce of civil engineering, Shiv realised his passion was in the real estate industry.

With his father being the owner of RAMS Kitchen and Joinery, Shiv grew up with the idea of helping clients perfect their dream home.

He said his public speaking and communication abilities were a “massive asset” to the industry as he enjoyed meeting different people.

“I’ve been working in the industry for just over a year and it’s quite fun,” he said.

“As a young person, working in the industry develops my mentality and character.”

He said young real estate agents were the ones to look out for as they’re often “hungrier” to reach their clients’ goals.

Elle brings industry experience from Sydney’s high competitive market to the Dubbo region through her motivation and modernised approach to the real estate game.

Primarily focused on residential properties in Dubbo, Elle ensures the needs of both the seller and buyer are considered.

She is a skilled communicator and has an “enthusiastic” approach to deliver successful needs of each client.

Her approach and enjoyment of negotiating, styling, and marketing makes her the perfect fit for the modern agent.

With over 10 years of experience in the sales industry, Simon brings with him a wealth of knowledge holding licenses in both stock and station auctioneering.

Working only six months in Dubbo’s real estate industry, Simon has already made an impact to ensure the buying or selling process is a positive experience.

Simon reassures The Dubbo News that Dubbo stands on its own market and is not “influenced” by the trends which are currently happening in Sydney and other capital cities.

He said it was a good time for first home buyers to get in contact as houses were still affordable in the regional town.

Simon said the perks of the role included meeting new people and discovering diverse properties in Dubbo.

Samantha Sims is another young gun and has worked her way up with a combination of grit and determination to become one of the most popular agents in town.

In 2011, Sims started working in an administration role with a local business before gaining experiencing in account and strata departments.

“I have always had an interest in real estate and wouldn’t dream of doing anything else,” she previously told the The Dubbo News.

“My family has regularly built, renovated homes and worked in the industry which has encouraged me to follow that path.”

Sales has always been where Ms Sims’s passion lies.

“I did take the time to move around a bit before I returned to Dubbo to build my career and start a family,” she said.

“In those years away I spread my wings and obtained qualifications in other areas but my heart always led me back to sales where I am most passionate about.”

Rory has had a passion for real estate since he graduated school in 2020 after being inspired by family members in the industry.

Working at the agency for just over two years, Rory said he was “loving” his career choice and was excited to get the ball rolling into further development.

His advice for other young guns in the game is to keep up with time management skills, as it is easy to lose track, and to write everything down.

“I like to keep a planner and write down a list of goals I have each morning,” he said.

Rory currently holds his Assistant Agent certificate and is working on obtaining his real estate license.

After having three children, Cindy is keen to get back on deck and help her family in the real estate industry.

Cindy is a qualified beauty therapist and has recently completed the Real Estate Certificate of Registration.

Her “bright” and “bubbly” personality brings Cindy the natural ability to help clients and introduce her creative flair to the business.

She is looking forward to exploring her creative side and assist the sales team to keep them on top of their social media and digital space to produce marketing material for clients.

Born and bred in Dubbo, Dustin has a passion for the area.

Prior to commencing his role as an agent, Dustin worked in the Northern Territory and Queensland as a jackaroo at various properties.

With his “enthusiasm” and “vast amount of energy”, Dustin’s main priority is achieving the best results for his clients.

He wants to make the journey of buying and selling a property as “smooth” and as “positive” as possible.

Dustin is looking forward to building long term relationships with clients in the future.

Lachlan Cusack – Platinum Property

A young gun in real estate, Lachlan is now the director/licensee in charge at Platinum Property.

Over the past five years he has demonstrated a true work ethic and dedication to the industry.

His grandfather worked in real estate for four decades which inspired Lachlan to make a career change from optometry to real estate.

“I’ve been away and studied, but I always had an interest in real estate so I am happy that I’ve made a decision to change my path,” he said.

He said the market had been “fantastic” so far which had led Dubbo through tremendous growth.

Lachlan’s advice for other beginners is to work hard to “establish” themselves while they are young.

“Once you do that, you’ll be able to ride through the storm and ride through whatever changes are thrown at you,” he said.
