The identity of the woman charged over a fatal crash involving a car and truck on a NSW outback highway has been revealed.
Emma Palmer, 40, has been charged with dangerous driving occasioning death and negligent driving (occasioning death) after a horror crash on the Barrier Hwy at Broken Hill.
The impact of the crash on March 16 killed her 41-year-old passenger.
Police were called to the scene around 4pm to reports a hatchback had collided with a Prime Mover truck and then rolled.
The hatchback’s passenger was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics but died at the scene.
Both Palmer and the truck driver, a 55-year-old man, were taken to Broken Hill Hospital for mandatory testing and further treatment for Palmer.
Palmer was arrested and charged after she was released from hospital.
She faced Broken Hill Local Court on Tuesday and was granted strict conditional bail, with her case adjourned to May 13.
