Notorious Wollongong paedophile Aaron Vincent’s decision to relay sick child sexual abuse fantasies to call centre workers from various major organisations has landed him back in court.

Vincent’s phone privileges had been restricted by Corrective Services when he made dozens of calls to the domestic violence and sexual assault counselling service 1800 RESPECT between October 2018 and August 2019.

Court documents reveal the 34-year-old used other inmates calling accounts to contact 1800 RESPECT and other organisations which included Quitline, Crime Stoppers and Family and Community Services.

Vincent was an inmate at Sydney’s Long Bay Jail when many of the calls were made.

Now jailed at the Wellington Correctional Centre in central NSW, Vincent made his first menacing phone call in October 2018 to smoking cessation support service Quitline.

Vincent, using a fake name, told the operator a young girl took up smoking because she feared he would sexually abuse her.

He next made nine phone calls to 1800 RESPECT under another fake name.

Vincent said he sexually abused a one-and-a-half-year-old girl and struggled to access a psychologist reguarly.

In another call Vincent told of how he perpetrated “lots of sexual abuse and sexual assaults” on a young girl and sold movies featuring her.

Vincent admitted a desire for sexual gratification prompted him to call Family and Community Services to discuss bathing with a young girl and her sitting on his lap.

One of Vincent’s final calls was to a Crime Stoppers operator, who he reported himself to for child sex abuse.

Vincent told police the calls the details he divulged in the calls were false.

“If I give a false name, there’s a good chance that it’s a sexual gratification purpose,” he said.

In a recorded interview with police, Vincent said he made the calls so he could stay locked up in jail.

He said he tried to get help to address his paedophilia while in custody, but found support hard to access.

In the Dubbo District Court Vincent pleaded guilty to four counts of using a carriage service to menace, harass or offend.

Judge Nanette Williams is due to sentence Vincent on December 1.
