A man and woman who allegedly robbed the home of a dead grandmother in northwest Sydney on the day of her funeral have fronted court over the break-in.

Police were called to the home on Chalet Rd in Kellyville following reports of a break and enter about 11.20am on Friday, May 31.

Police arrested Kara Buckle, 27, and Jacob Pollard, 27, at a Kellyville home on June 5.

Police allege in court Buckle entered the property and stole cash, electronics and jewellery, which Pollard then allegedly sold.

He was charged with receiving stolen property.

Pollard appeared briefly at Parramatta Local Court on Wednesday when an adjournment was set for July 17 so he could seek legal advice.

Police allege the Kellyville man disposed of a gold ring, $100 gold earrings, a $25 necklace, $25 brooch, $50 gold necklace, an Apple iPhone, a ring and $100, at Blacktown a day after the alleged robbery.

It comes after earlier reports revealed Buckle was captured with a three-wheeled pram on CCTV near the alleged break-in.

At the time, a NSW Police spokeswoman said she could not confirm if the pram was allegedly stolen from the house, or if the woman had it before the alleged break in.

Family members of 81-year-old grandmother Nola Bulkeley, found little consolation in the duo’s arrest.

“A celebration of Mum’s life to obviously spiralling back into grief,” Nora’s son Andrew Bulkeley told 7News.

Police alleged Buckle stole electronics, jewellery, family heirlooms and an Apple Watch from the properties, which ultimately helped track her down and lead to the arrest.
