While most kindergarten students are anxious about their first day of school, twin brothers Hugo and Maximo can’t wait to get in the door.
The five-year-old’s have been enrolled at Fort Street Public School and will start their first day of Kindergarten on Friday February 1.
Mother-of-two Mariana Chiazzaro said all the boys want to do is go to big school.
“I am a little bit nervous, but mostly excited for them because they have been very bored at day care,” she said.
‘It wasn’t challenging them anymore, they just want to learn.
“They have been telling me for the last six months that they want to go with the big kids.
“They are very curious kids, school will be good for them.”
Mrs Chiazzaro said the boys are very different, with Maximo being confident and Hugo being shy.
She has made the decision to place them in separate classes.
Mrs Chiazzaro said this will help the boys gain confidence and avoid relying on each other to make friends.
Maximo said he is looking forward to reading, learning about science and magic.
He hopes to be a policeman or a scientist when he grows up.
While Hugo, who also loves science and learning how to build things, is looking forward to going on excursions and hopes to be a builder or a fireman.
