Coronavirus: Vaucluse, Pyrmont, Cremorne record COVID-19 cases

Some of Sydney’s poshest postcodes have been hit repeatedly with coronavirus cases this week even as the number of new infections slows across the state.
Vaucluse in Sydney’s east, Pyrmont in the city centre and Cremorne on the north shore all recorded one new case of coronavirus on Wednesday.
It is the second new case in Vaucluse in less than a week after a previous confirmed diagnosis on April 18, and the third in less than two weeks after another case on April 11.
Pyrmont had previously recorded three corona-free weeks after its last case was picked up on April 1.
Cremorne had also gone 19 days without any new cases of coronavirus until yesterday.
Bossley Park in Sydney’s southwest and Cherrybrook in Sydney’s west also recorded one new case each.

It updates as soon as NSW Health confirms a new cases of COVID-19 and pinpoints it to the postcode area.
There are now 2976 cases of coronavirus confirmed across the state, with 34 deaths including two Queensland residents who died in NSW.
NSW Health is now conducting increased testing in identified hot spots and vulnerable areas across the state, including Blacktown, Canada Bay, Cumberland and the 2145 postcode including Westmead, Goulburn Mulwaree, Inner West, Liverpool, Parramatta, Penrith, Randwick, Ryde, Waverley and Woollahra local government areas.
The most recently identified clusters of infection include two different workplaces in Lidcombe and Wolli Creek and the Caddens nursing home.
