A man has died after a car was driven off a boat ramp into the water at Lions Park in Woy Woy.

A man has died after a car has driven off a boat ramp into the water at Lions Park in Woy Woy.
Emergency services were called to the scene just after midday following reports the car, with one person inside drove off the ramp.
A NSW Police boat was being assisted by a charter boat and a Surf Life Saving jet ski.
Witnesses have told police the car, described as a red Mitsubishi, appeared to hit the water at speed.
Police believe they know who may have been in the car and are contacting next of kin.
Meanwhile a police diver is trying to secure a tow line to the vehicle so it can be dragged back up the boat ramp from where it is about 20m from shore.
A NSW Ambulance crew was also in attendance as the recovery operation is carried out.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
A NSW Police spokeswoman confirmed the operation to remove the car from the water was underway about 5pm on Friday.
“Police are urging people to avoid the area” she said.
