Woman stabbed in home invasion at Gosford
A man has been charged after a terrifying break and enter event at Gosford overnight during which a woman was stabbed.

A man will appear in court on Sunday after being charged with an aggravated break and enter offence at West Gosford where a woman was stabbed.
Shortly after 1am on Saturday night, a 22-year-old man entered a home in Faunce St at West Gosford through a window and approached a bedroom.
The 28-year-old woman who was asleep in the bedroom awoke and lashed out at the intruder who slashed her several times with a knife.
The man fled from the home and the woman contacted emergency services.
Meanwhile, police who had been patrolling the area, noticed a man acting suspiciously in the street.
As the officers spoke to the man, a police radio message was broadcast, alerting them to the nearby incident.
The man was arrested and taken to Gosford Police Station.
The injured woman was transported to Gosford Hospital where she was treated for several injuries including a possible punctured lung.
Following a forensic examination, investigators seized several items from the home.
The man was charged with special aggravated break enter, commit serious indictable offence and wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
He has been refused bail to appear at Wyong Bail Court on Sunday.
