The hearing for Canberra Raiders hooker Tom Starling and his two brothers has been set almost 18 months after an alleged brawl outside a Central Coast restaurant.

A hearing date has been set for Canberra Raiders hooker Tom Starling and his two brothers almost 18 months after an alleged brawl at Shady Palms in Kincumber.

Tom, Jackson and Josh Starling’s matters were mentioned at the Sydney Downing Centre Local Court before Deputy Chief Magistrate Theo Tsavdaridis on Monday.

The Avoca Beach brothers were excused from appearing at the court, represented by criminal lawyer Samar Singh-Panwar.

It is understood the matters have been sent to the Downing Centre due the length of time expected for the hearing which has been spread over dates in late May and early June.

The charges follow an alleged brawl at Shady Palms restaurant just before 11pm on December 5 2020 when the trio were out with friends celebrating a 21st birthday.

Police were called to the restaurant to deal with another matter when an alleged argument broke out with a patron that refused to leave the premises. Police will allege the Starling brothers and co-accused Jesse Byrne became aggressive.
