Randy Booth identified as body found in Wanniassa, Canberra

The name of a 54-year-old man found dead on a footpath with blood on his face has been revealed, with detectives continuing their appeal for information.

The identity of a 54-year-old man found dead on a footpath in Wanniassa has been revealed.

Shocked onlookers made the grim discovery of Randy Booth near a park on Bussau Cl about 12.55pm on March 3.

Mr Booth’s death remains under investigation with a post mortem conducted after his death.

ACT Policing released a statement on Wednesday which said detectives were continuing their appeal for information.

Police asked for anyone in the vicinity of Bussau Cl between 9am and 1pm on March 3, or anyone who contacted Mr Booth prior to his death, to contact them.

Residents near the crime scene told the Canberra Star they saw blood on Mr Booth’s face.

Neighbours close by said the man was not known to the community where “everyone knows everyone”.
