Body found in Wanniassa, ACT Policing investigating
Detectives are probing the death of a man after his body was found on a footpath in southern Canberra.

A police operation is underway after a body was found on a footpath in Wanniassa.
Police crews flocked to Bussau Cl about 12.55pm on Friday after a man in his 50s was found dead.
An ACT Policing spokesman said the matter was under investigation.
Bystanders told the Canberra Star they saw officers guarding the scene with the park behind Bussau Cl cordoned off.
One member of the public said police were seen talking to residents of the cul-de-sac.
Anyone who witnessed anything unusual in the vicinity of Bussau Cl before 1pm on Friday was urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website.
