Third time seems to be the charm for a professional MMA fighter guilty of drug and weapons offences who was granted bail at the ACT Magistrates Court.

Felicity Loiterton, 29, pleaded guilty to five counts of unauthorised possession or use of prohibited weapons, two counts of possessing ammunition, possessing a drug of dependence, possessing an unregistered or prohibited firearm, trafficking a controlled drug other than cannabis, possessing a declared substance and drug driving earlier this month.

Loiterton was originally due to be sentenced on those charges on Thursday, however, her lawyer sought an adjournment and applied for bail.

Prosecutors did not oppose bail.

Special Magistrate Margaret Hunter ultimately granted bail with strict conditions, including supervision from corrective services, abstinence from drugs and reporting daily to police.

Several Loiterton’s charges relate to an incident in April where police caught her with a gel blaster gun, cannabis, and diazepam tablets.

Following this initial arrest, Loiterton was granted bail, where she had the bail condition of not possessing real or replica weapons.

But then, in July, a police raid of her Kaleen residence found another gel blaster, two tasers, two prohibited knives, live shotgun cartridges, live 0.22 rounds, commercial grade fireworks, modified fireworks.

Police also found methamphetamine, cash, phones, a pill press, and documents alluding to the sale and trafficking of a prohibited substance during the raid.

Since her arrest in July, Loiterton has been behind bars on remand.

She last made a bid for bail in July, citing the need to train to defend her kickboxing title as a “special and exceptional circumstance”.

Loiterton appeared relieved when seen outside court accompanied by a support person.

She will appear for sentencing on October 13.
