Felicity Loiterton: woman faces court after cops seize fireworks, drugs, weapons

A woman has faced the ACT Magistrates Court after police seized weapons, drugs and fireworks from her house. See the photos of what they uncovered.

A woman facing drug and weapons offences has made a failed bid for bail at the ACT Magistrate’s Court.

Kaleen woman Felicity Loiterton, 28, fronted court on Monday charged with four counts of unauthorised possession or use of prohibited weapons, two counts of possessing ammunition generally, possessing a drug of dependence, possessing an unregistered or prohibited firearm and trafficking a controlled drug other than cannabis.

Additionally the court heard Ms Loiterton was on bail for three charges, possessing a declared substance, possessing or using prohibited firearm and drug driving, which are due for hearing in November.

The prosecution told the court under bail conditions Ms Loiterton cannot be in possession of real or replica weapons.

According to a statement from ACT Policing, officers attached to the Proactive Intervention and Diversion team executed a search warrant at Ms Literton’s residence at 6pm on Sunday.

Police allege they found a gel-blaster gun and gel blaster cartridges, which had the appearance of a shotgun, in addition to two tasers, two prohibited knives, live shotgun cartridges, live 0.22 rounds, commercial grade fireworks and modified fireworks.

Police allege ACT Bomb Technicians were required to assess the danger of the fireworks before they were seized.

The statement alleges police seized methamphetamine, cash, phones, a pill press and found documents alluding to the sale and trafficking of a prohibited substance.

Magistrate Robert Cook refused bail and set the next court date for August 1.
