A murder case has faced further delays due to Covid-19.
Kenan Dowden-Carlisle, 19, pleaded not guilty to the charge of murder in January.
Mr Dowden-Carlisle’s lawyer Sam Mclachlan from ACT Legal Aid sought a three-week adjournment.
Mr McLachlan told the court he was forced to isolate due to Covid-19 and was unable to meet with his client to go through documents relevant to the case.
Magistrate Glenn Theakston granted a three week adjournment pushing the pre hearing mention to early May.
The case was previously adjourned on April 1.
Police allege Mr Dowden-Carlisle murdered Indigenous man Jordan ‘Ducky” Powell during a brawl at Garema Pl, Civic, on December 4 last year.
The incident allegedly occurred in broad daylight and sent shockwaves through the Canberra Community.
Mr Dowden-Carlisle is remanded in custody and will appear in court on May 6.
