Body found near Lake Ginninderra, police investigating

Detectives are probing the circumstances surrounding the discovery of a 32-year-old woman’s body on the shores of a lake in Canberra. See the update.

The circumstances surrounding the discovery of a woman’s body on the shores of Lake Ginninderra continues to be investigated by detectives.

On Monday evening, ACT Policing were called to reports of a body found in grassland adjacent to the lake near Lawson.

An ACT Policing spokesman said the body was believed to be a 32-year-old woman but formal identification had not taken place.

“Investigations into the circumstances of her death are continuing,” the spokesman said.

“An autopsy has been carried out today (Wednesday) and the results will be reported to the coroner.”
