A local tree lopper has been charged with supplying cocaine after he was busted doing deals at a Bowral pub, where police allege he asked for his confiscated drugs back as he was being kicked out.

Glenn James Stubbs, 35, appeared in Picton Court on Thursday after he was charged with five counts of supplying a prohibited drug, possessing a prohibited drug and supplying illegal drugs on an ongoing basis.

Police allege the Welby resident supplied eight grams of cocaine on at least five occasions between January 28 and February 17, in return for $2400.

A specialised police strike force to investigate the supply of drugs in local licensed premises allegedly identified Mr Stubbs as a supplier between January and March when carrying out controlled operations.

Police allege he sold four small resealable bags of cocaine on January 28 and 29 at the Imperial Hotel in Bowral, with each bag priced at $300. According to police, he sold another bag of 1.36 grams of cocaine on February 4 at the same venue.

The next weekend, police allege Mr Stubbs was caught on camera walking through the pizzeria area of the Imperial Hotel when he pulled his phone from his pocket and a small bag of white powder fell out of his pocket onto the ground.

Police claim the bag remained on the floor for nearly 20 minutes before it was collected by a staff member, who contacted the police and reviewed the security footage of the area.

The staff member recognised the accused as someone who had previously applied to work at the Imperial Hotel as an RSA marshall, according to police. The pub employee asked Mr Stubbs to leave and told him he’d been captured dropping the bag of drugs on the floor.

The court documents allege Mr Stubbs asked for his confiscated drugs back as he was being escorted from the premises.

According to police, his ejection from the pub didn’t dent his business and he allegedly sold two bags of cocaine a few nights later on February 17.

Police allege Mr Stubbs negotiated the supply of ten grams of cocaine for $3000 on March 10 and 11, which he promised to deliver. Although he failed to show for the handover, police allege he agreed to supply the indictable quantity of cocaine.

Mr Stubbs was arrested at his Welby home at 8.40am on Thursday after police searched his home.

Officers allegedly found and seized cocaine, 26 grams of cannabis, a Samsung mobile phone, small bags consistent with those identified by witnesses, and drug paraphernalia.

The court heard police will rely on observations, recordings and security footage of Mr Stubbs allegedly supplying drugs.

The Welby resident was granted bail with strict conditions, including residing at a home in Buxton, abstaining from drugs, and not entering any licensed premises.

Mr Stubbs will return to Moss Vale Local Court on March 29.
