Police are investigating a two-vehicle crash in the Southern Tablelands that has left a father and son with serious injuries on Friday afternoon.
At around 1pm a motorcycle and four-wheel-drive crashed at a roundabout in Goulburn.
Shortly after, a number of emergency services arrived at the scene, including more than five police cars, four NSW Ambulance cars, two rescue helicopters and one Fire and Rescue car. Several onlookers were also present.
The collision occurred when the motorcyclist, a 58-year-old man and and passenger, his 29-year-old son, were heading east on Clinton Street, and the car driver, a 38-year-old woman with two family members as passengers were heading south on Bourke Street.
All those involved were Goulburn residents.
Goulburn Acting Inspector, Nicholas Parr, confirmed the motorcycle driver suffered serious leg injuries and at about 2pm was flown to Canberra Hospital by rescue helicopter.
His son suffered head injuries and was also transported to Canberra by helicopter.
The family in the four-wheel-drive were left uninjured and the woman driving was taken to Goulburn Base Hospital for mandatory testing.
Detectives and crime scene investigators were present, who will be investigating the circumstances of the crash.
With the long weekend upon us, Acting Inspector Parr reminded locals to be safe and follow the road rules.
