Police report: Teens charged over alleged service station assault, Blacktown
A group of youths will face court after allegedly attacking a man at a Blacktown service station and, a man has been charged after police found ammunition and a knife in his car.
BLACKTOWN
A group of youths has been charged after a man was allegedly assaulted at a service station in Blacktown last week.
Police say the man, 24, was leaving a store on Sunnyholt Rd when three males approached him, just after 12.30am on Thursday, March 21.
After a brief verbal altercation, the group allegedly surrounded the victim and physically assaulted him before trying to steal his mobile phone.
It’s alleged one of the males produced a screwdriver and threatened the victim.
The male then allegedly damaged the victim’s vehicle, kicking it and jumping on the bonnet before running away. T
The youths were arrested by police later that morning and taken to Blacktown Police Station.
A 15-year-old male was charged with using an offensive weapon in company, destroying or damaging property and affray.
He was granted conditional bail to appear at a Children’s Court on April 12.
Another male, 14, of Blacktown, will appear at a Children’s Court on the same date on affray, destroying or damaging property and common assault charges.
A Seven Hills youth, 15, will also face court on April 12 on allegations of stalking/intimidation, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, aggravated stealing from a person, using an offensive weapon in company, common assault, affray and malicious damage.
The victim suffered a cut to his lip, as well as bruising and swelling.
DOONSIDE
A man has been charged with a string of alleged driving and ammunition offences after a traffic stop in Doonside last week.
Officers stopped the car of a Dharruk man, 31, at the intersection of Kildare Rd and Doonside Rd at 3.40am on Friday, March 22.
A check found the man was on conditional bail with a disqualified licence.
Police seized ammunition and a knife from the vehicle.
He was arrested and taken to Blacktown Police Station where he was charged with driving a motor vehicle while disqualified, possessing ammunition and have custody of a knife in a public place.
He was refused bail and will appear before Blacktown Local Court on April 6.
