A Marayong man will face court today after allegedly grooming two girls and committing indecent acts in front of them.
The 49-year-old was arrested at a home in Marayong at about 12.30pm yesterday.
Child Abuse and Sex Crimes detectives say they began investigating the man after receiving a report that two girls — aged 10 and 11 — had been exposed to alleged acts of indecency by a man they knew.
Police allege the man committed indecent acts in front of the girls and exposed them to sexually explicit material between January 2017 and September 2019.
It’s also alleged the man tried to engage the 10-year-old girl in sexual acts on several occasions.
Shortly after the man’s arrest yesterday, police raided the Marayong property and seized a laptop.
He was taken to Riverstone Police Station and charged with two counts of committing an act of indecency with a victim under 10 years, two counts of grooming a child under 14 years for unlawful sexual activity and a further three counts of intentionally doing a sexual act with a child between 10 and 16 years.
The man was refused bail to appear at Blacktown Local Court today.
