Taco Bell reveals site for new Blacktown store

Popular Mexican-inspired fast food chain Taco Bell has revealed the location for its new Blacktown store, expected to open by the end of November.

Taco Bell is returning to Australia

Fast-food chain Taco Bell has announced they will open a new store at Westpoint Blacktown by the end of November.

The popular Mexican-inspired restaurant chain this month revealed it would be expanding into NSW, with new stores expected to open in Blacktown and Newcastle.

After posting a teaser photo of the M7 Motorway sign at Blacktown earlier this month, Taco Bell last week confirmed a new store would be coming to Westpoint Blacktown.

“In case you missed the gigantic clue we left for you, prep your tastebuds because we’re coming to Westpoint Blacktown. Make sure you’re following us because we’ll be spilling more delicious details soon,” the post read.

Westpoint Blacktown centre manager, Agata Rynkiewicz, welcomed the new arrival.

“As the focal point of our community, and as part of our commitment to delivering regularly refreshed experiences, we are proud that Westpoint will welcome Taco Bell,” Ms Rynkiewicz said.

“The arrival of Taco Bell is a testament to Westpoint’s ability to attract popular, globally recognised brands and deliver a dynamic experience that meets the needs of our growing community.”

The exact locations and opening dates of the stores are yet to be confirmed, according to a statement issued by the restaurant chain. However, plans are already underway for the official opening in “late spring”.

“While the date and exact location of each restaurant opening remains under wraps (for now), Taco Bell can reveal that it plans to launch both locations with an epic opening party,” a statement read.

“Fans can look forward to the upcoming restaurants having open kitchens where they can watch their meals be freshly prepared, customer-curated music playlists so they can listen to their favourite tunes, and free Wi-Fi for all their browsing needs.”

The chain has begun advertising positions for the new stores, including a role for manager at the Blacktown franchise.

The chain has already opened five stores in Queensland, which saw fans camp out overnight to get a taste of the Tex-Mex chain’s offerings.

Taco Bell plans to open up to 50 stores in Australia by 2021.

It’s not the first time the chain has tried to crack the Australian market, after two prior attempts in the 1980s and 90s proved unsuccessful.
