Gruesome details of an alleged postcode gang brawl which left a 17-year-old lying dead on a western Sydney street after he was stabbed multiple times, have been revealed in court.

Ibrahima Diallo, 21, appeared at the Supreme Court via videolink, as police urgently applied to reverse a bail decision handed down in the Local Court.

He was arrested in February — along with three co-accused teenagers — and charged with murder, wounding with intent to murder and assault with intent of criminal activity of a criminal group.

Police allege the 17-year-old boy’s death last September was part of a raging escalation in tensions between two postcode gangs who had been fighting in the days prior.

The Supreme Court heard sensational details about the events allegedly leading up to the gruesome Blacktown brawl, which also left three other teenage boys — aged between 13 and 15 — in a critical condition after suffering stab wounds.

Police obtained phones left in a car from Diallo’s co-accused, who the court heard were allegedly members of postcode gang M.O. B, containing messages and Snapchats allegedly planning the attack on August 31, 2021, the night before the deadly brawl.

Some of the messages read in court referenced stabbing “the white kid first,” the court heard.

Police allege Diallo messaged the co-accused just after 7pm, requesting they pick him up from Bass Hill Plaza and asked “youse have any spare blades”.

The co-accused allegedly drove to the Blacktown home of the rival gang blaring Top Of The League by drill rapper CG M.o.b from their cars, the court heard.

CG M.o.b is not alleged to be involved in any criminal wrongdoing.

Just after 10pm they arrived at Blacktown where the street brawl unfolded in a matter of minutes. Police attended the scene and discovered the deceased 17-year-old at 10:08pm, the court heard.

“There were knives, there were golf clubs, there was blood splattered everywhere … these are young men and they’re running with knives in a frenzy,” the prosecution said.

She appealed for the court to reverse the previous bail decision, citing community safety.

“There is a willingness of these young people to be in these groups, carry these knives, wear them as a badge of honour,” she said.

But Diallo’s defence told the court, unlike the other co-accused, his client was not arrested immediately at the scene which was significant because the police arrived so quickly.

He also said all the evidence allegedly linking Diallo to the murder was circumstantial as there were no fingerprints on any of the knives or blood splattered on Diallo.

On Tuesday, Justice Peter Garling affirmed the decision to grant bail made by Magistrate Carl Milovanovich in Blacktown Local Court.

Diallo will remain on strict conditional bail and will return to court later this year.
