A notorious former bikie boss has been denied bail after new “entirely disturbing” allegations came to light following a police investigation shrouded in mystery.

In 2013, Suvat Sarmisakliglu was reportedly behind a bloody turf war on Sydney’s streets, as the once senior Bandido defected to the Hells Angels and took his whole chapter with him.

On Monday, Sarmisakliglu appeared briefly via videolink in the Supreme Court for a bail hearing following an alleged breach of previous bail conditions.

The court heard Sarmisakliglu was charged with a string of alleged drug related offences on June 10 last year, including two counts of supplying prohibited drug, one count of organise/conduct drug premises and one count taking part in the supply of prohibited drug (commercial quantity).

In September, Supreme Court Justice Christine Adamson granted Sarmisakliglu bail with strict conditions.

“But for the presumption of innocence, her honour saw drug trafficking as a way of life for (Sarmisakliglu),” Justice Geoffrey Bellow said of his colleague’s decision.

But Sarmisakliglu soon landed back behind bars on February 22, following the alleged breach of a number of his bail conditions, including being absent from his nominated place of residence, a court heard.

Sarmisakliglu’s defence told the court the case against him was not strong and there had been considerable sentencing delays.

“I accept that the delay in coming to trial will be significant,” Justice Bellow said.

“But it cannot be ignored the applicant had the benefit of a granted bail by this court, which has been breached.

“Those breaches could give me no confidence whatsoever that if Sarmisakliglu were released, he would comply with his bail conditions.”

The court also heard Sarmisakliglu made an application to vary his bail conditions because he was offered employment at “RTR”, a Sydney company.

Without going into precise details, Justice Bellow also told the court police were investigating Sarmisakliglu’s actions while he was on bail and described what police will allege was committed as “disturbing in the extreme”.

“There were a number of investigations … (and) if those circumstances were made out to be true it would seem to me Sarmisakliglu would be charged with conspiring to pervert the course of justice,” Justice Bellow said, labelling these yet unknown allegations as “extremely disturbing”.

On Monday, Justice Bellow denied Sarmisakliglu’s application for bail. He will return to court later this year.
