Engracio Songcuan, 73, was excused from appearing at Blacktown Local Court when his matter was mentioned today, five days after he was charged with the murder of his wife, Erlinda, 69.

When officers arrived at the home, they found Mrs Songcuan’s body in the garage of the home.

The police helicopter was called in to search for Mr Songcuan, whose car was found at Blacktown train station.

He was arrested at Richmond train station at 3.30pm that day and charged with murder at Windsor Police Station.
