Doonside: 46-year-old man charged after allegedly snorting cocaine behind the wheel

Police say they were stopped at traffic lights in western Sydney when they spotted a man allegedly snorting drugs behind the wheel. Here is what we know.

A driver has been charged after police allegedly spotted him snorting cocaine while behind the wheel in Sydney’s west.

Police were stopped at traffic lights at the intersection of Knox Rd and Power St, Doonside, on Friday, July 26, when they spotted a 46-year-old man allegedly snort cocaine while in the drivers seat of a black Toyota sedan.

The driver was pulled over and questioned, and police searched his car allegedly finding a small bag containing cocaine.

The driver was charged with possessing drugs and is expected to face Blacktown Local Court on Thursday September 19.
