Blacktown knife crime: 18-year-old charged after allegedly hiding knife in pants
A young man has been charged after police allegedly made a disturbing find during a crackdown on youth gang crime in Sydney’s west.

A young man has been charged after he was allegedly caught with a 70cm knife during a police operation targeting youth gang violence.
Operation Kella police stopped the 18-year-old at Blacktown train station about 4pm on Thursday when officers allegedly found a 70cm knife concealed in his pants.
The knife was seized and the teen was taken to Blacktown police station, where he was charged with custody of a knife in a public place (subsequent offence).
He was granted strict conditional bail and will face Blacktown Court on Thursday, June 13.
