Kings Langley: Teenage girl suffers head, back injuries after being hit by a car

A teenage girl was hit by a car on a residential street in Sydney’s west overnight.

Emergency services were called to the scene on Whitby Rd and Deptford Ave in Kings Langley around 7pm on Monday to reports of a pedestrian being hit by a car.

A NSW Ambulance spokeswoman said a teenager was assessed for head and back injuries and taken to Westmead Hospital in a serious condition.

A NSW Police spokesman said the 16-year-old girl had been hit by a car while crossing the road with a 46-year-old woman.

He said the girl remained in hospital but is now in a stable condition.

The driver, a 33-year-old man, was taken to hospital for mandatory testing and police have established a crime scene.

Investigations into the crash continue.
