A Melbourne man wounded in a fatal shooting in Bali is the former partner of Roberta Williams’ daughter Danielle.

The 34-year-old Sanar Ghanim, who has a child with Danielle Stephens — the daughter of Roberta Williams and stepdaughter of late gangland figure Carl Williams — was the victim of a shooting inside a villa in the Badung area.

Another man, Zivan Radmanovic, 35, and with strong links to Melbourne, was shot dead.

The men were found bloodied inside the villa after an outbreak of gunfire in the holiday paradise.

A witness told police there was screaming from a man and that the gunman was wearing a bright orange jacket and wore a dark helmet.

Mr Radmanovic was shot in a toilet before the killer fled the villa.

A witness tried to help the victims while waiting for emergency services.

Badung Police chief Arif Batubara said Radmanovic died at the scene, while Ghanim was being treated in hospital.

A police source said two men on scooters with Australian accents have been linked to the shooting.

“We are now working on (an) investigation (to) find witnesses that may have seen the incident,” Arif said.

The killing had the hallmarks of an organised crime hit.

Radmanovic had been in Bali with his wife and they were together in the villa when the dead-of-night ambush unfolded.

It is unclear how long they had been in Indonesia and the nature of their connection with Ghanim.

The Herald Sun understands Ghanim left Australia months ago. Little is known about why he was in Bali.

A photograph of a man, believed to be Radmanovic, showed him lying dead next to the toilet bowl in the villa’s bathroom.

A huge amount of blood was also left over the porch near the entrance of the villa.

Ghanim has served time in a maximum security Victorian prison over the 2014 shooting of associate Serkan Kala.

He and co-accused Tugay “TJ” Afacan pleaded guilty to shooting of Kala, who had argued with them at a Campbellfield gym before a later meeting where Ms Stephens was present in a Broadmeadows industrial area.

Afacan blasted Kala with a sawn-off shotgun as he approached their BMW.

Ghanim shouted “shoot him again” as the victim bolted to his vehicle to escape.

Kala was left with 22 puncture wounds from the pellets.

The court was told Ghanim grew up in Iraq and was trained as a child soldier before his family fled to Syria qand, ultimately, Australia.

Charges against Ms Stephens over the incident were later dropped and Ghanim mouthed “I love you” as he was led from the dock.

A court head at the time that Ghanim was a champion kickboxer who fought 17 professional fights in Thailand.

He lost three, won nine by knockout and the others on points.
