A drunk learner driver was lucky to escape serious injury after crashing his car at Burton. Meanwhile, a man has been busted driving a stolen SUV 90km over the speed limit.

A drunk L-plate driver has booked a day in court after crashing his car at Burton in the early hours of Thursday morning.
Around 1.30am, SA Police were called to Potts Crescent after a blue BMW sedan travelling north west on Burton Rd lost control and crashed into several trees and a corrugated iron fence.
Upon arrival, officers located the driver, a 22-year-old local man.
Checks found the man held a learner’s permit. He was subsequently breath tested and allegedly returned a reading of 0.178. The legal limit for a learner’s permit holder is zero.
He was reported for illegally driving drunk while on a learner’s permit, and was issued an immediate loss of licence.
The car was towed from the scene and the man is expected to appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court at a later date.
Meanwhile, a man has been busted speeding in a stolen car in Adelaide.
About 12.45am, officers spotted a Toyota RAV4 run a red light on Anzac Hwy and identified the car was travelling at approximately 150km/h towards the CBD.
PolAir tracked the vehicle onto Henley Beach Rd and along Grange Rd before the SUV came to a stop at Mill St at Findon.
Police surrounded the area and the driver, a 30-year-old Findon man, was arrested without incident.
Investigations revealed the RAV4 had been reported stolen from Brighton on Tuesday.
The man was issued a number of charges including driving under the influence, illegal use and aggravated extreme speed.
He was handed a 12 month instant loss of licence and refused bail to appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court on Thursday.
The car was towed for forensic examination.
