Police probe after woman in 20s reportedly fatally struck by trailer northwest of Taree in Northern Tablelands
A young woman has died after she was reportedly hit by a car trailer in the Northern Tablelands. Police have seized a vehicle as investigations continue.

A 21-year-old woman has died after she was struck by a car trailer in the Northern Tablelands.
Emergency services including Manning/Great Lakes Police District were called to Cooplacurripa, some 60km northwest of Taree, about 12.30pm on Tuesday.
Police were told the woman “was behind the parked trailer when it moved backwards” and hit her.
“The vehicle attached to the trailer was unoccupied at the time of the incident,” a NSW Police statement reads.
The woman died at the scene “despite the best efforts of emergency services personnel”.
She has since been identified as a 21-year-old Northern Tablelands woman.
Police set up a crime scene and inquiries were ongoing on Wednesday.
No charges had been laid, however, a vehicle had been seized for forensic examination.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
