53-year-old woman charged over role in shooting of man in Kendall, NSW

A woman has been arrested in Port Macquarie over her role in the alleged murder of a man last week on the NSW north coast. Here’s what we know.

A woman has been charged over her role in the shooting of a man on the north coast of NSW last week.

A 27-year-old woman and two men, aged 37 and 39, have previously been charged and remain before the court.

About 6.40pm November 22, emergency services responded to reports a man had been shot in front of a home at Batar Creek Rd, Kendall.

Members of the public commenced CPR before paramedics arrived, however the 43-year-old man died at the scene.

Police established a crime scene and commenced an investigation under Strike Force Holmesleigh with the assistance of the State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad.

Following inquiries, a 53-year-old woman was arrested in Port Macquarie at about 9:35am on November 27.

She was taken to Port Macquarie Police Station where she was charged with hinder investigation serious indictable offence and conceal serious indictable offence.

The woman was refused bail to appear before Port Macquarie Local Court on Tuesday where she was granted conditional bail to appear at the same court on Wednesday.

Investigations under Strike Force Holmesleigh are continuing.
