A man punched a hole through a door and slammed his partner’s head into a car by her hair in a shocking domestic violence attack.

In August, the 32-year-old man, who cannot be named, got into a fight with his partner at their Murrumba Downs house.

After she asked him to leave, he shoulder charged her into a wall and grabbed her in a choke hold-like grip.

He grabbed her and threw her onto the ground and threw tools at her. He then threw her onto the same couch their two terrified children were watching.

He began taking things and putting them in a car while she tried to calm the two kids.

She then locked him out of the house but he punched the door and reached through to unlock it.

Outside the house he grabbed her by the hair and slammed her head into the car.

Police rushed to the house after they received a triple-0 call where a woman was heard screaming.

The man was gone by the time police arrived but later turned himself in. He spent 53 days in custody on the charges.

The man pleaded guilty at Pine Rivers Magistrates Court to breaching a domestic violence order.

The court heard the man was struggling with a meth addiction and had relapsed after deaths in his family. He was now clean after the stint behind bars.

He was ordered to undergo probation for two years and immediately released from prison.
