They had travel insurance but haven't been able to make a successful claim because it's been ruled a weather event, which is incorrect.

Airline bungle costs couple $6500

QANTAS moved this couple to an earlier flight for no good reason and without telling them. They lost $6500 of accommodation but the airline and travel insurer wouldn’t compensate.
