Relief has arrived for Territorians sweltering in the Top End with popular watering holes reopening for Dry Season.

NT Parks confirmed that the swimming sections of Buley Rockhole, Florence Falls and the upper section of the Cascades at Litchfield National Park are now open.

The lower Cascades remain closed due to the wet season conditions and track erosions, with the attraction expected by safe for swimmers by May.

Swimming at Wangi Falls is also expected to return next month.

NT Parks also confirmed a cooling dip at the Umbrawarra Gorge Nature Park was now possible.

The rocky pools and sandy beaches of the creek at Umbrawarra flow freely during early to mid Dry Season.

Butterfly Gorge was expected to open this month, however the NT Parks website still classified it as closed due to seasonal weather conditions.

Swimming also remains closed at Berry Springs Nature Park.
