Tweed lawn mower rider charged with high range PCA
A 40-year-old man has been charged with drink driving almost five times over the limit after allegedly riding his lawn mower drunk through a residential street.

A North Coast man allegedly caught drunk driving a motorised lawn mower almost five times over the limit will face court.
Tweed Police stopped the 40-year-old man at the intersection of Shearer Court and Australia Drive, Terranora at about 7.45pm on Saturday.
Police spoke to the rider before subjecting him to a roadside breath test, which allegedly returned a positive result.
The man was arrested and taken to Tweed Heads Police Station.
He underwent a secondary breath analysis which returned an alleged reading of 0.243.
He was issued a Future Court Attendance Notice for high-range PCA (second offence), driving with an interlock device not functioning/circumvented, and using unregistered class-A motor vehicle on road.
The man will appear at Tweed Heads Local Court on Monday May 2, 2022.
