Former NRL star Michael Gordon will wait another six months for hearing after his matter was adjourned again at Murwillumbah Local Court on Thursday.
The 38-year-old faces two counts of possessing a prohibited drug, to which he has pleaded guilty, and two counts of taking part in supplying cocaine and MDMA, to which he has pleaded not guilty.
He was not required to appear.
Following a six-month investigation into alleged drug supply on the Gold Coast and in Tweed, Gordon was arrested in his Casuarina home in November 2020.
Police allege Gordon was part of a cross border cocaine syndicate.
Gordon’s matter was first listed for hearing in November 2021 in Tweed Heads Local Court but was adjourned when the court was unable to hear it due to running out of time.
It was adjourned to Murwillumbah Local Court while the Tweed Heads Courthouse undergoes renovation.
However a new direction by the Chief Magistrate on January 24 said all hearings are to be vacated until February 11 due to Covid.
Represented by lawyer Michael McMillan, Gordon will continue to defend the supply charges.
The matter was adjourned to July 28 and moved back to Tweed Heads Local Court.
