Three Rebels motorcycle gang members and an associate have been arrested over a brutal home invasion in the NSW Hunter Region nearly a year ago and a separate kidnapping.
In dramatic footage, one heavily tattooed man is forced to the ground as police raid a home.
The raid comes after police stopped a Ford Falcon sedan on Mount View Road, Cessnock, and spoke with five male passengers.
As a result, Jesse Hunt, 25, was refused bail at Cessnock Local Court yesterday, facing a string of charges including aggravated break and enter, inflicting actual bodily harm and detaining a person with the intent to obtain advantage.
Police allege Mr Hunt and the others broke into a Cessnock home on May 30 last year and assaulted a 24-year-old man, leaving him with serious head and ear injuries.
Mr Hunt was charged with aggravated break and enter, committing a serious indictable offence — inflicting actual bodily harm — taking/detaining a person in company with intent to obtain advantage, knowingly direct activities of a criminal group and two counts of dishonestly obtaining financial advantage by deception.
Mr Hunt is due in the Cessnock Local Court on July 10.
The other men believed to be involved in the incident include a 27-year-old from Swansea, a 37-year-old Edgeworth man and a 24-year-old from Cessnock.
They are expected to face court for the first time today.
