A police officer from NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian’s protection unit has pushed a man claiming to be a journalist and physically withheld him as he tried to interrupt a funding announcement at the Brunswick Heads Surf Club.

A police officer from NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian’s protection unit has pushed a man claiming to be a journalist and physically withheld him as he tried to interrupt a funding announcement at the Brunswick Heads Surf Club.
The man claimed to be from a media outlet Bay FM as he expressed that he wanted to ask questions.
A plain clothes police officer asked the man to stop before blocking him and restraining him as he tried to follow the premier out of the club.

The premier’s police detail ordered the bus carrying the premier, deputy premier and media pack to leave the venue instantly, even though the man had calmed down and was restrained.
It is understood they were concerned there was another unknown threat.
