A man charged by police investigating the shooting murder of Mick Hawi outside a Rockdale gym a year ago allegedly possessed a handgun less than 20 minutes after the bikie boss was slain.
Police will allege Jamal El Jaidi, 31, is the man pictured in CCTV images released earlier this month of a man holding gun and walking with a distinct limp in Bexley shortly after the ex-Commanchero boss was murdered outside a Fitness First Gym in the neighbouring suburb of Rockdale.

El Jaidi is the fourth man to be charged by the strike force investigating the brazen daylight murder of the 37-year-old father.
He was shot a dozen times as he sat in the driver’s seat of his luxury four-wheel-drive at 12pm on February 15, 2018.
El Jaidi was charged with illegally possessing a 9mm P. A. K calibre ATAK ARMS Stalker 2918 without a licence or permit between 12.14pm and 12.20pm in Bexley on the same day Hawi was killed.
He was arrested and charged on Wednesday while attending Campsie Police Station for an unrelated matter.
El Jaidi did not come up from cells at Burwood Local Court on Thursday while his case was mentioned and the matter is due to reappear next week.
The Belmore man has not been charged in relation to Hawi’s murder.
Police will allege the handgun, which they say is forensically linked to El Jaidi, was found in a Bexley garage where a getaway car used in the murder was stored.
Footage released by police showed two men running down Chandler St in Bexley after they had set fire to a stolen Mercedes Benz used to transport the killer.
They got into a Toyota Aurion which had been stashed nearby.
Investigators will allege the Toyota was stashed in the Bexley home where the handgun was found.
The second getaway car — the Toyota Aurion — was recovered last March at Beaconsfield.
Lone Wolf members Yusuf Nazlioglu and Ahmad Doudar have been charged with Hawi’s murder.
Moustafa Salami, was charged with accessory after the fact to murder.
