Police have released new footage of the man who drove the getaway vehicles in the daylight assassination of Sydney gangster Mick Hawi.
The former Comanchero bikie boss was shot up to a dozen times by a gunman as he got into his luxury four-wheel drive outside Fitness First at Rockdale one year ago.
Previous footage was released of two men running down nearby Chandler St on February 15, 2018, after they had set fire to a stolen Mercedes Benz used to transport the killer and got into a Toyota Aurion which had been stashed nearby.
Now police have found CCTV footage taken about 20 minutes later where two men are walking quickly down a street at Bexley before getting into what police believe was a third getaway car.

Officers with Strike Force Amirs, which has arrested three people over the 37-year-old’s murder, believe there are still more arrests to be made. That includes the getaway driver.
“Our current inquiries are focused on identifying the getaway driver and we’re hopeful the CCTV may refresh someone’s memory or encourage him to come forward,” Criminal Groups squad commander Detective Superintendent Deb Wallace said.
“The first clip of CCTV depicts the man running along Chandler St, after the Mercedes-Benz was set alight — he has a distinctive gait. The second clip captured about 20 minutes later depicts the man walking with another man along Bowood Ave, Bexley, where it is alleged the second getaway car was parked and stored.”
In August, Lone Wolf members Yusuf Nazlioglu and Ahmad Doudar were charged with Hawi’s murder. A third man, Moustafa Salami, was charged with accessory after the fact to murder.
