A QUIET suburban street in Sydney’s west was rocked by a brutal stabbing on Saturday evening with one man dying.
Police were called to the cul-de-sac of Dutch Place in St Clair about 6.40pm following reports of a domestic dispute.
Paramedics arrived to find a 34-year-old man with multiple stab wounds. He died at the scene.
It is understood the victim was in an argument with a 31-year-old man in the front yard of the home before the younger man stabbed the older man and fled the house.
About two hours later Nathan Chatimba was attested at a home on nearby Bellini Place some 2km away and taken to Penrith Police Station where he was charged with murder.

The matter was briefly mentioned at Parramatta Bail Court on Sunday where Chatimba, through his Legal Aid lawyer, did not apply for bail and it was formally refused.
He is due back at Penrith Local Court on October 12.
Local resident John Vaughn, 82, said that he heard the commotion from his house.
“I was in the living room watching TV when I saw red and blue flashing lights through the window,” he said.
The Daily Telegraph observed NSW Police forensic personnel removing items from the area on Saturday night.
The entire street was declared a crime scene.
Another lady was dropping her elderly mother off at her home on Dutch Place when she came across the crime scene.
“The police told me to look at the ground and not at the scene,” she said. “I could see crime scene markers all over the street.”
“I grew up in this street, nothing bad ever happened here,” she said.
Last night police were escorting residents returning home to their houses with detectives arriving at the scene about 10pm.
