A man who received a text message saying “it’s done” after murderer Rayne Aylward fatally stabbed Casino teen Ned Gronow has walked free after his charge was quietly withdrawn in court.
Tanner Park, 20, was initially charged with concealing a serious indictable offence as a co-accused in the 2022 murder of the Casino teen, along with the now-convicted Kye and Rayne Aylward.
Kye, father of Rayne, was convicted of accessory after the fact and has served his sentence of 13 months in prison with a non-parole period of six months.
Park remained on bail since his arrest by strike force detectives on October 12, 2022.
In February, he pleaded not guilty to concealing a serious indictable offence.
Park was scheduled to appear for a hearing in Lismore on December 17, however, his charge was quietly dismissed in the same court on November 22.
Aylward received 18 years jail with a 12-year non-parole period in the NSW Supreme Court at Lismore – after pleading guilty to the murder of Gronow in a Supreme Court sitting in Lismore, prompting a chaotic outpouring of emotions from those in the room.
His sentence was backdated to June 26, 2022, due to time served, and is due to expire on June 25, 2040. Aylward will be eligible for parole on June 25, 2034.
