A Rose Bay man at the centre of a Northern Rivers lockdown earlier this year has had a warrant issued after he did not appear in Lismore Local Court.

Zoran Radovanovic, 52, was due to front court on Monday to face four counts of failing to comply with electronic registration directive and three counts of not complying with Covid-19 directions.

He previously pleaded guilty to all charges.

He travelled from Sydney to Byron Bay with his two teenage children in the first week of August where he was looking at property and stayed at Talofa.

He and his son later tested positive to Covid-19, resulting in Byron Bay, Richmond Valley, Lismore and Ballina being thrown into a week-long lockdown.

While he was there he refused to use QR check-ins and was reluctant to talk to health authorities and police after he tested positive.

Magistrate Michael Dakin issued a warrant after Radovanovic failed to appear by 4pm Monday.

The court has previously heard Radovanovic was in Serbia.

Kristian Radovanovic, 19, has been sentenced with four offences linked to Covid-19 breaches.

Meanwhile his son Kristian Radovanovic, 19, was hit with $35,000 in Waverley Local Court for two counts of not complying with electronic registration, one count of not complying with directions and one count of not wearing a face mask in a taxi.

He did not appear and is understood to also be in Serbia taking care of an ill family member.
