A NSW police officer is expected to appear in court later this month after being charged with domestic violence offences.
Officers attached to the Professional Standards Command began investigations into a domestic incident which was reported to police in early May 2021.
Following those investigations, a 43-year-old male senior constable was issued a court attendance notice for common assault and stalking or intimidation with intent to cause fear of physical harm.
NSW Police said in a statement the officer was attached to a command within the Northern Region, which covers a large portion of Northern NSW.
They have not specified which command the accused officer works within.
The accused has been granted conditional bail to appear before Lismore Local Court on Monday, September 20.
His duty status is under review.
