Tweed police charge man with driving minibus into police car
A 52-year-old who was allegedly drink-driving when he crashed into a police car had four passengers at the time.

A man has been charged with negligent driving and drink-driving after he allegedly crashed a minibus into a parked police car in Tweed Heads.
Police will allege the 52-year-old man was driving a Mitsubishi minibus north of Wharf Street in Tweed Heads about 11.40pm when he crashed into a police vehicle parked outside the police station.
The man was carrying four passengers in the minibus at the time, police said.
Police will allege officers from Tweed/Byron Police District heard the collision and ran outside to find the accused getting out of the bus with his passengers, one man and three women.
They didn’t sustain any injuries.
The driver was breath tested at the scene and police will allege he returned a positive reading.
He was then taken inside the police station and returned a breath analysis reading of 0.065.
The man was issued with a court attendance notice for low range drink-driving and negligent driving.
He is expected to appear before Tweed Heads Local Court on Tuesday, October 5.
