A man has died following a single-vehicle crash at Kyogle earlier today.
About 10.20am, police responded to reports of a crash after a truck left the roadway and rolled down an embankment on Kyogle Rd.
The driver – thought to be a young man aged in his 20s – died at the scene.
A passer-by, who had stopped to assist the driver of the truck, was allegedly hit by a reversing utility a short time later.
The 45-year-old man was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Lismore Base Hospital for treatment of a suspected broken arm.
The 22-year-old male driver of the ute is assisting police with their inquiries.
