A Lismore man’s personal violence case will go to a hearing with witnesses after a court heard allegations of grievous bodily harm and intimidation were “self defence”.

A Lismore man has claimed self-defence on a grievous bodily harm charge and three stalking charges against three separate people.

Steven Walter Brown, 52, fronted Lismore Local Court on Monday on one charge of reckless grievous bodily harm and three charges of stalk or intimidate intending to cause fear of physical or mental harm of a domestic and personal violence nature.

Police will allege the man was involved in an incident between 8.20am and 8.40am on March 16 this year at Lismore that resulted in actual bodily harm.

Brown is alleged to have intimidated to cause fear of physical or mental harm of a domestic and personal violence nature to someone at Bexhill between 5pm and 7pm the night before.
